Albany Technical College Project Director - C.O.N.I. Grant (FT) in Albany, Georgia

Albany Technical College seeks a well-qualified, highly motivated individual to fill the position of Project Director for the Community Outreach and Nursing Infrastructure (C.O.N.I.) grant. He/ she will report directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and be responsible for the overall direction, management, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of activities and events associated with the C.O.N.I. Grant, ensure consistency with agency strategy, initiatives, and goals to include acquiring resources, recruitment, enrollment and coordinating the efforts to deliver projects according to plan. Among other responsibilities, the Project Director will drive the new van in the service delivery area to recruit and admit nursing and healthcare students to Albany Tech and the Phoebe Living and Learning Community. Applicants must be a self-starter and problem-solver with strong initiative and ability to design, implement and evaluate projects and demonstrated ability to create positive learning environment. He/she should have demonstrated experience in administration of projects, recruitment, training and supervision of staff, organization and management of programs, budgets, activities, policies and procedures, and experience using computerized software. Under general supervision, the Project Director creates and executes project scope, goals, milestones, and deliverables, identifies resources needed, manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project work plan, manages the projects budget, properly manages funds allotted to the project, collaborates with Albany Tech faculty and staff to ensure the project embraces the overall mission of the institution and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. The Project Director facilitates team and client meetings, holds regular status meetings with the healthcare and admissions teams, coordinates data collection and generates reports using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. He/she assists with regional accreditation, including organizing and reviewing data input, develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations; completes necessary tasks and assignments associated with developing, drafting, revising, explaining and implementing policies and procedures, and completes tasks and assignments associated with developing, drafting, revising, explaining and implementing documents, plans, manuals and handbooks. The Project Director also, maintains good rapport within the organization, with private sector representatives and the general public by being courteous, cooperative and conscientious, serves on committees as needed, and participates in required staff development activities. Community involvement will be required to position ATC in various events for recruitment possibilities each week for the duration of the grant.The Project Director will coordinate and assist with the Accuplacer exams and assist prospective students with the admission and readmissions process to include advisement of specific career paths. He/She will receive and enter applications into the student information system and counsel students on Accuplacer scores. He/ she will enter college and high school transcripts, verify in-state residency, and will provide information by email, telephone, written correspondence and in person to interested parties regarding application procedures and admissions requirements. The Project Director will collaborate with Academic Affairs to refer prospects and applicants to their programs each semester, and will assist with the design and execution of special event projects and activities. He/she will provide quality customer service to Albany Techs internal and external clients in the seven-county service delivery area. The Project Director will process new and returning students and assist prospective adult education and academic credit students with the admission process from inquiry to matricu ation and graduation. He/she will be able to work with diverse clients while exemplifying quality customer service skills. He/she will have excellent communication (oral and written), computer, and word processing skills. He/she will perform other clerical, recruitment, admissions, and other Student Affairs duties as assigned.
