Description

We are in search of an experienced Accounting and Finance Manager. The role entails overseeing and contributing to the accounting, finance, bookkeeping, and related business systems functions that support our operations and financial reporting. Role will concentrate on heavy month-end, trial balance, income statement generation, running project profitability reports, cash flow reporting and partnering with a 3rd party CPA.

Responsibilities:

• Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.

• Manage the Accounting and Finance staff, ensuring the efficient execution of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expenses, asset and inventory accounting, and related operations.

• Maintain current accounting, finance, and business systems and processes, constantly seeking opportunities for improvement.

• Prepare regular financial statements and reports, including quarterly and yearly reports, for use by management and company auditors.

• Coordinate with outside auditors and provide needed information for the annual external audit.

• Provide financial analysis with an emphasis on financial forecasts, cash management, and other ad hoc analyses.

• Work with operations and project management staff to manage project-level budgets, billing, and payments.

• Ensure payments and billings follow internal controls and comply with any contractually mandated requirements.

• Maintain systems preserving document management and integrity, as well as backup documentation for annual financial audits.

• Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.

The successful candidate will also supervise the staff responsible for corporate and project-level accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expenses, assets and inventory accounting, and related company functions.
