About the Role:

Foundry Services is looking for an Engineering Solutions leader with industry experience in process technology, ranging from definition through development to high volume manufacturing. This Leader will work across Intel to build the team and develop a service mindset with focus on collaboration between customer engineering teams and Intel Technology Development and Manufacturing teams. This role requires vast industry experience at the design-technology interface, including semiconductor technology definition, and hands on SOC design and product qualification experience. This Leader will draw on experience in both manufacturer/foundry and fabless customer environments to guide the team towards creative and responsive solutions to showcase the benefits of Intel process technology full entitlement to IFS customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop an expert team to interface internally with Intel Technology Development team and externally with customer technology/SOC team.

  • Understand customers evolving needs to influence and adapt to customer requirements using Intel technology POR.

  • Training team on “the fabless and foundry experience”

  • Establish and guide benchmarking capabilities for analysis of portfolio offering versus competition on Performance, Power, Area, Cost and Timing

  • Collate customer’s requirements to build foundry process enhancement plan with Intel TD

  • Technical support to customer from design to product qualification

  • Be the technical champion for Intel Foundry customer.

Experience Required:

  • Deep technical background in semiconductor process integration, technology definition and how to benchmark and showcase process entitlement in a complex SOC design, device characterization and modeling.

  • Broad expertise in IP (logic library, memory, IO and complex IP) design, selection and tradeoffs

  • Deep understanding in EDA tools for design optimization to demonstrate process technology PPA.

  • Hands on design experience from RTL to tape-out to successful product qualification using the latest foundry technology in one of these markets (mobile, HPC, AI, Auto)

  • Expert in circuit design, SRAM, foundational IP, analog and physical design/integration using latest finfet or GAA technology.

  • Experience in working with foundry Technology Development team in driving pragmatic tradeoffs and result.

  • Experience with ecosystem partnership collaborations.

  • Knowledge of technology features and impact to product cost tradeoffs

  • Completed multiple high volume product developments from concept to tape-out to qualification to product introduction.

Qualifications

Master’s with a minimum of 20 years of industry experience or a PhD degree with a minimum of 15 years of industry experience.

Degree must be in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $999.00-$999,999.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
