Job Description

Purpose Statement

Leadership and management of the supply chain function at Singapore Abbvie Operations to deliver cost effective, high quality, business acumen and cGMP compliant organization. The supply chain function comprises production planning, customer service, procurement, inventory management, warehouse and logistics for both small and large molecule manufacturing.

Strategic Management

  • Set direction, strategies, champion innovation and continuous improvement within the department to take the supply chain function to successively higher performance platforms.

People Leader

  • Develop and sustain a highly flexible and motivated business unit team.

  • Lead and guide a team of supply chain managers, specialists, supervisors & assistants to deliver effective & efficient services which are timely, cost effective, cGMP and business compliant.

  • Lead in personnel recruitment, development and succession planning of supply chain department.

Stakeholder Management

  • Network with internal and external parties to develop solid infrastructure of supply chain support systems.

  • Maintain relationship between inbound and outbound customs.

  • Manages and develops business relationship with Third Party Contract manufacturing clients.

Supply Chain Management

  • Oversight of Master Production Scheduling, client order processing, import\export customs, shipment, supplier management, procurement processes and systems.

  • Ensures master production schedule is consistent with demand to meet supply goals, considering availability of equipment, personnel and materials. Realise inventory level in accordance to supply strategies.

  • Ensures supply process for both direct / indirect materials is conducted correctly using the local supply office and purchasing supplier management. Manage suppliers portfolio, including scouting of new suppliers and executing supplier audits in collaboration with other site functions

  • Manage goods receipt, dispensing of raw materials to production, storage of work in process and finished goods. Manage shipment of finished products to customers covering logistic centers, TPC or other affiliates. Operate warehouse in accordance to cGMP to meet quality inspection standards

Compliance

  • Participate in SHE, Business Compliance, cGMP and all other compliance-related matters, where applicable. This can include specific duties involving in maintaining qualified status of equipment by timely application of and reporting exceptions to the GMP systems supporting the qualified state

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in combination of science and business academic background preferred.

  • More than 10+ years materials management experience in manufacturing Industry is required.

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience at management level is required.

  • Strong people manager who can coach, develop others and manage team dynamics such as conflict resolution, change management is required.

  • Strong knowledge of Materials functional areas including but not limited to purchasing, production planning, customer service, warehouse & logistics is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of computerized ERP environment, SAP system is required.

  • Excellent influence management, project management, communication, negotiation, motivation, and organization skills is preferred.

  • Facilitation skills essential in harmonizing site wide practices across a diversity of operations is preferred.

  • Able to work effectively in teams across departments and with all levels of employees to achieve positive outcomes is preferred.
