Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the outsourced tax/bookkeeping industry to find a Senior Accounting Consultant. This is a full time, permanent position in N. Denver. It is hybrid or fully remote (after training), and is paying up to $77k on an hourly basis. Additional information and job requirements are below. Responsibilities:

• Recording Journal Entries: Documenting financial transactions by preparing and posting journal entries accurately and timely.

• Transaction Entries: Inputting transactions into the appropriate accounts, including vendor bills, customer invoices, payments, and deposits, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Management: Managing the payment of AP and processing incoming payments of AR, while proactively addressing overdue AR with clients.

• Bank Reconciliations: Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and alignment between bank records and company accounts.

• Client Communication: Engaging in emails and correspondence with clients, maintaining clear and effective communication regarding financial matters.

• Payroll Processing Support: Assisting with payroll journal entries, collaborating with the payroll manager and software systems as needed.

• Sales Tax Compliance: Preparing and remitting sales tax returns to various jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations.

• Financial Reporting: Initiating the preparation of financial statements and conducting balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Tax Preparation Assistance: Providing support with certain tax preparation items, such as compiling transaction details for fixed assets entries, to facilitate tax compliance.

• Client Relationship Development: Establishing and nurturing client relationships to deliver comprehensive financial reporting and analysis services, meeting client needs and expectations.

  Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within public or with a company that has multiple entities/sets of books.

• QuickBooks Online required

• Strong Excel required (vlookups & pivot tables)

• Experience reconciling bank statements

• GAAP Accounting

• Strong & professional communicator, client service minded.

• Experience with tax prep/planning

• Payroll tax

• Sales & use tax

• Property tax
